Emirates NDB Infinite Visa

Hello,
If anybody has this card, I have tried to check online for the benefits, I saw all of them but there are a few things that aren't clear to me, in other words confusing.

How many skywards do you get per dollar spent is the first one.

If anybody has this card, please share your feedback with us as I am debating whether its worth it or not.

Thanks anyways

The card is very good but you require heavy spend on it to get your money's worth. The annual fees are high at AED 1500 and they're not doing the introductory 75,000 miles anymore. You get 2 miles per 1 US$ normally but if you sign up to the express miles at AED 200 per month you get upto 3 miles per 1 US$. There are other benefits like free airport transfers, lounge access, concierge service, buy one get one free at the movies and 0% interest on EK tickets.

I find the platinum card more value for money/miles but again it all depends on your spend.

The Citibank cards are worth considering, slightly higher fees but superior service in comparison to ENBD.

My favourite is the EIB Skywards cards. You can get 1 skywards mile for 1 AED. There is catch however, you earn miles in buckets and not actual spend but if you play it right can end up with 11,000 miles per month.

Personally I think this is a great card especially if you have a second card holder or high spend. The express miles fee instead of annual fee is worth considering depending on spend level. Biggest satisfaction is paying for an EK flight on it, knowing I'll be getting tier and class bonus miles on that as well.

Had this for a couple of years. Good card for the miles, but not sure I'd stump up the initial fee now the 75k miles are no longer offered.

You get 2 miles per $ (unlimited) per month on all spend, plus an additional 1 mile per $ if enrolled in express miles. However this is only applicable to the first $4000 spend. (i.e. your earn 12,000 miles for the first $4000 spenteach month, thereafter you earn only 2 miles per $ over and above $4000). Basically, if you are certain you will hit at least AED 15k spend each and every month, then go for the express miles.

I have used the airport pick up on occasion, but its often more hassle than the saving on the taxi fare, especially now inter-emirate transfers (e.g. AUH to Dubai) are no longer permitted. The courier is also useful if you have to send documents within the UAE. As previously mentioned the gold class movie tickets can be nice if they're available for a decent cinema.

Lounge access in DXB is great if you don't have EK status and there is a good range of other lounges, although last time I checked they were predominantly in the Middle East / Subcontinent.

The Citibank cards are worth considering, slightly higher fees but superior service in comparison to ENBD.
Have to disagree on this point, I've had the Citibank Ultimate card for almost 5 years and their customer service IMHO is much worse than ENBD. Its not well publicised but ENBD Infinite card holders can use the Al Shaheen Priority Banking number to get straight through to a human which for me a massive plus. I only retain the Citibank card for the free monthly golf.

This is incorrect. There is a cap of I think 52,000 miles aarded per month (or something like that). I had made purchases over 300,000 AEDin one month a few months ago, and all I got were around 5x,xxx miles. It's there in the fine print (which i realized after I made the purchases).

Yes there is a cap of AED 150,000 of retail spend per billing cycle.

You may want to follow up with NBD / Skywards as I've had 80k+ miles in the past (not including express miles):

xx May 2011 Emirates NBD Emirates - ENBD - VISA Infinite Credit Card Finance 80,xxx 0

There may well be a cap, but it doesn't seem to be at 52k (as of May 2011 at least)

The main customer service line is a waste of time. PM me for the Al Shaheen number - never more that 3 rings away from a real live human

Are you sure? Didn't read it anywhere yet and I am pretty sure I spent more then 150K AED this year already and still get miles every end of the month.

The Emirates-Citibank Infinite Card definitely does not have any caps. I bought a car and an apartment on it and enjoyed a million miles credited by the end of the week.

Doesn't the card have an individual transaction limit and monthly limit though?

Just confirmed from the horse's mouth:

"The maximum standard miles that can be awarded to a Skywards Infinite cardholder in any monthly billing cycle is 81,699. This is equivalent to a retail spend of AED 150,000. Express monthly miles (4,000) will be awarded in addition to this"

Hope this clears things up!

All we had to do was to use Citibank online banking to move the money from current account to the credit card which increased its limits to whatever the amount was, then called the bank just before making the transaction and it went through. The bank was sure that the money was already in the card account, and I guess that is why the card is called infinite.

Limit is per month not per year.
