A strange one.
EK's website shows both EK18 and EK20 on Monday 25th were delayed overnight and departed today. Both of the EK18s were A380s (A6-EDG and A6-EDO) according to flight24 but the timing doesn't tie up with what you say.
The delayed EK20 timing does, but that was (allegedly) a B777-300ER (A6-ECZ)

I'm sure they were, the information I gave agrees there were two A380s departed today, but the flight numbers and timings disagree. With two overnight delays on the same day it's not surprising if things like flight numbers are up in the air.

EK prefix a flight number with an "8" when it is delayed overnight like this to differentiate it from the next day's EK20. Both "maintenance requirements" according to the website.
