Flex ticket booking classes
Hi guys, i needed some clarification on which booking class is the lowest economy flex fare. I couldn't find any information on this on the emirates website.
Unfortunately my agent wasn't too sure either.
Would appreciate if anyone would shed some light on to this. If fare codes vary on different routes then the travel be out of Lagos to Dubai.

Several threads on this topic already. The consensus seems to be that Booking Class and Flex/Saver are not linked. eg two pax could have the tickets in the same class bucket (Q, X, K etc) and one could be Flex and one Saver.
I don't know whether this will have altered with the recent changes to Flex/Saver classifications, but it's been the case for the past while.

According to Expertflyer, for LOS - DXB, W is the cheapest flex fare (AED 5070 + tax). The cheapest (saver) fare bucket is L (AED 2060 + tax). Given that the flex fare is 2.5 times the cheapest fare, you're better off buying saver fares or switching to another airline.

Good luck finding availability in L class, we never have, at least not for any flights that we book. I guess that it is like the old Super Apex type fares and needs to be booked "miles" ahead!

I went ahead and got my ticket issued...
Then went online to check the miles i would be getting and it turns out it was a saver fare!
I guess ung1 was right about W being the lowest flex fare and now i'm out of pocket a couple of hundred dollars for absolutely nothing!
This is really irritating...

As has already been posted, Saver and Flex fares are not tied to a specific booking code. You will often find both Saver and Flex fares coming out of the same inventory.

The best thing for your own sanity is to assume you will get half the miles no matter what the fare and if you are pleasantly surprised that you scored a flex ticket, congratulate yourself. As I have said many times, even people at Emirates--including the EK sales people themselves have no idea as to what the criteria for saver/flex is. It changes on a regular basis and they have created such a convoluted system that it is becoming laughable.
No flex tickets available for purchase online and no saver awards available through Skywards, plus the elimination of all US partner awards means that Skywards is pretty much useless for people in the US.
