The best thing for your own sanity is to assume you will get half the miles no matter what the fare and if you are pleasantly surprised that you scored a flex ticket, congratulate yourself. As I have said many times, even people at Emirates--including the EK sales people themselves have no idea as to what the criteria for saver/flex is. It changes on a regular basis and they have created such a convoluted system that it is becoming laughable.


No flex tickets available for purchase online and no saver awards available through Skywards, plus the elimination of all US partner awards means that Skywards is pretty much useless for people in the US.
