Alone in F

I am flying a sector in F where currently I am the only passenger. I was wondering if that remains the case, is there a chance that they will not offer a distinct F product, but will instead offer me J service with the F seat? It is not a long-haul sector (AMM-DXB).

Has anyone ever been alone in F?

When are you flying? Just remember that a lot of F passengers only purchase tickets in the week before and even on the day of travel. However if you do end up being the only passenger in F then you will get full F service since you have paid for it ^

I ever flew F solo from SIN-CMB on a SIN-CMB-DXB flight. As there are direct connections between SIN-DXB, few pax would opt to fly via CMB.

During the SIN-CMB sector, I received full F service, including amentiy kit, PJs, slippers and a full F meal. The purser even joked that I'm in my own private jet!

I'm flying at the end of June. I am actually on a J ticket--I used some skywards miles to upgrade to F for fun.

I've flown alone in 1st a few times over the years, both short and long haul. Have always had a full service apart from the one time I was told that the cabin was going to be a J service. In this case over booking had taken place and as I was the only 1st passenger they had decided to do this. IIRC I had a refund of the fare difference and also some mileage as a good will gesture. Stangest time was on a night flight 747 many, many years ago on UL as the sole passenger.

Commuting routes in the Gulf (e.g. RUH, KWI, DOH) are very dependent on the day of travel.

2 years ago I was alone in F from SYD to AKL on the A380. I got full F service and extensive 'fuss'. I was actually quite embarrassed! To top it all I then got a visit from the Captain! After that I decided it was time to close the suite door! Oh and I got allocated 30 minutes in the shower! On my return trip as I was boarding the Purser cheerfully informed me I was the only person in F again! She must have noticed my face as suddenly a few people were upgraded from J to F!

F & F

As long as Y & J is not overbooked you can expect to have a quiet cabin in F as EK is not low down any more in F as there are no more promo fares on offer ex ATH or LCA.

In all my F only flying with EK (6+) yrs on an average I have rarely seen more than 30% as an average revenue occupancy in F.

Remind u this is an AVERAGE % taken on the whole pattern on flying in F including majority of the sectors in MLH,LH & ULH.

2 give u something to look at: Had an EK 773-300ER in F on ULH with Total occupancy of 11Y, 2J,1F and this was in Dec 2009. Ghost Plane

Safe Flying

Sorry - old thread. Flew solo in F on EK 419 SYD-BKK a couple of days ago and my next flight is looking like only me in F too. I know it can change rapidly, but two in a row would be amazing.

You will get the full F service. However they will only load one tin of caviar, therefore you cannot ask for more - that is the only challenge I am facing whenever I am the only passenger in F.

Single, sexy and sad...

Is that true? I flew alone SFO-DXB once, and the purser said 'they loaded one of everything', which I assume meant food. I have never asked for a second caviar helping, but have been tempted...

I must say the F crews have been great...very attentive service even when it was a 14/14 load YYZ-DXB. Managed a whole bottle of Dom DXB-MLE last month, and the FA insisted on opening a new bottle MLE-CMB.

I was quite tickled that they connected the aerobridge at SYD for me, and closed the door as soon as I had boarded. I think I could have managed to struggle through the other bridge and turn left!
