Is it possible to pool together miles from two different accounts to pay for an award/upgrade? I have enough miles in my account for an upgrade and would like to use the leftover plus miles from my sisters account to upgrade my Mrs?
E.g.
Account 1 (my account) = 28000
Account 2 (sisters account) = 7600
Purchase any shortfall = 9400
2 x One Way Upgrades DXB-DAC

Yes.
You can top up her account by purchasing the miles through her account page on the website. Once she has the miles in her account (which is instant when done online) you can call skywards to upgrade the ticket for your wife.
If you are going to do the upgrade over the phone, Skywards will want to speak to your sister for clarification. Just bear that in mind.

When you "gift" miles, you are purchasing on her behalf - they do not come from your account.
I've always thought Skywards should lift the purchase/gift limit to be more in line with other carriers (ie 60,000+ per annum). But that's for another time...
