eRewards

Just received an email from Skywards, claiming to be 'by invitation only' to join an opinion panel and review 'stuff' (their service I imagine) in exchange for 500 miles.

Anyone else doing this?

Did it for BMI miles. You do get the miles, but they don't always accept you for whatever survey they are doing and it get's a bit tedious after a while.

I've done a few surveys. It's a bit of a pain, and as already mentioned I'm not always accepted for the survey.

Got one as well, but had already signed up with Priority Club - IHG and so couldn't re-register. Haven't done any surveys yet.

FUMING

I am absolutely furious with Emirates on this. For the past month many of us have been taking part in emirateshub.com, not for compensation but I genuinely believed I was inputing to help the company perform better. The crux of my issue is they now have two panels working, with the later one awarding points for opinions.

Here is my response on Emirateshub:

I got the below email from Emirates which makes me conclude that someone new has been employed at customer communictions. The question is, who are listening - emirateshub or e-rewards? If you say both, then someone is making a job for themselves but at the same time confusing customers.

Oh and, are the opinions that we have all put thus far on EmiratesHub not as valued - where are our 500miles?

Almost instantly on emirateshub.com (after a day waiting - is someone watching us????) I receive this reply:

Hi freakstar,

Thanks for bringing this to Emirates' attention. The team would like to apologise for the confusion. E-rewards are an Emirates partner and they're offering you the opportunity to earn Miles when you answer surveys and polls.

But once you sign up you'll be dealing directly with E rewards and not Emirates- The surveys could be about anything and while you will earn a small amount of credit which can be converted into Miles each time you respond, the questions won't be directly linked to Emirates and some may not be travel related.

In comparison The Hub is a direct dialogue with the Emirates team and all topics are generated by Emirates or yourselves. We will also be rewarding members with a prize draw of 1x 15,000 and 3x 7,000 Miles each month and anyone who has contributed in a given month is eligible for this.

But we hope that the real incentive to take part in The Hub is the opportunity to influence the airline's decisions and improve your experience. The feedback you've given already has been really useful for the team and we'll be posting an update on this in the next week.

To which I reply:

I am sorry but this reply has confused me even more.

I received an invitation to join e-rewards from Emirates - they are your "partner" so are you saying that the input people give them does not count?

EDIT:

I have edited this as I have just worked out what is going on...basically, you have provided all our contact details to an independent company (but I got the email from you?) who are doing their own research? Although they are affiliated with you, they dont influence you. All you have done is sold your customers contact details?

Dear All,

I understand from previous posts on this forum that membership to e-rewards is only by invitation but is there a way that u could get urself an invite to be part fo this programe.

Is there any way like making a phone call to relevent people or registering on a particular website that can help me get an invitation.

Waiting to hear from people who have got this invite.

Many thanks.

I have an account. Not too bad of a deal. One catch though is if you want to use the rewards with a particular partner, a lot of times you can only redeem one reward every 90 days.

I use mine for Hilton and get 7000 bonus points every 90 days. Pretty good deal. Even though you received the offer from EA you don't have to use them for the partner to redeem the points with.

500 miles or 500 e-reward points?

There is a 10:1 ration when you exchange them and you can't exchange for a quantity of 500 miles so I think you may only have earned 50 miles. The minimum you can exchange is 2,000 points for 200 miles.

Edit: Ignore most of my post. I see from the post below the initial 500 miles is a starter bonus for the first three surveys. You might find things slow down a bit now!

I got an email saying I got my 500 miles as well, but have only done two surveys so far and one I was rejected for...

From what I understand there is an incentive for doing the first three surveys which gives you 500 miles then the surveys give you points which you can then in turn trade for miles. I have 175 points but need 2000 for 200 miles. Can't see them coming too quickly!!!!

And this is completely different than emirateshub, emirates hub are asking you questions on the emirates "experience" for them to improve or at least learn the feelings of the emirates users.

e-rewards is for general surveys, I have done one on personal finance and one about purchasing authority at work.
