Pooling luggage allowance on EK
I think I know the answer, but I could not find the exact words on the EK website.
Six of us (2 silver/4 blue) are flying Business LHR/DXB/BKK.
Our luggage allowance is very generous but we are taking a load of charity material for a school for deprived street kids.
We will not be over our combined limit.
We are all on the same booking reference.
Question-do we all have to check in at the same time to pool our allowance as some (with the kids stuff) will have 6 items totalling 80k and others just one case weighing 23k?
thanks

Unlike Thai, EK do not give extra allowance for Charity projects as their allowance is higher than most.

Generally it is down to the person checking you in but usually they allow you to pool allowances as long as a single item is not over i think 20kg or 30kg. Pooling allowances is not an official rule but if you check in together at the same time then generally in my experience they allow you to combine the allowances.

Thanks eshaq.
That is what I thought, and what I experienced with 2 of us travelling but this trip is somewhat different in nos of PAX and the many parcels.
I thought of trying EK direct but the email addresses for EK in the UK are for specific listed queries, not on this question.
Can someone post the UK customer services e address here please so I can get the official line (it is not mentioned in Faq)
thanks

Problem solved,here is the answer.
This is the answer I received to my question,by email from EK
"You may 'pool' your baggage allowance between passengers travelling together on the same flights, on the same booking reference"
