It has been rumoured that it'll be delayed by a week but EK website still shows it starting on that day.

Flying J with them, have been upgraded to F twice this year as well. Including last weekend from AMS; must be because someone upgraded from Y to J took my seat in J

Pity though I think they didn't have anyone paying full fare in F -- so service was just J, no caviar or Dom Perignon this time :P
Ah well. Love the suites and space, don't care as much for the other extravaganza.
Btw, great service and great seats (if you fly the newer planes), but quite a lot of long delays. Since AMS-DXB is scheduled to arrive at midnight, that meant checking into my hotel past 3am twice now. Since then, I'm booking flights to arrive a day earlier, hard to arrive sharp at work with such short nights sleep... Departure at 8:35am to AMS is far from ideal, as well.
And actually trying to get an upgrade with Skywards is impossible, have tried on every flight but it's never available from the site. Even though on two of those flights they actually upped me for free, so they *did* have plenty of room in F!

Just to add to the "I love Emirates" vibe. Last week I flew MAN-DXB-SYD in J. the 14 hour SYD leg was just fantastic, must have spent 8 hours of the flight at the bar!
Whilst it was the longest flight I've done in a very long time, it was also the most enjoyable, that J class bar is a superb idea, it helped pass the time so much and me and my travelling party were a huge hit with all the staff
Incidentally, is there a bigger lounge in the world than the EK Business Lounge at DXB? Must have taken me 20 minutes to walk around it!
