EK seemed to have added a second flight to GLA but they both got cancelled.
Would they both have been 777s?

Able to book flight = loose indication they'll fly ?

God isn't this all on such a flippin knife edge !!

I wondered what the collective view on the above question is ?

The EK website is allowing me to book flights ex Germany for Fri and Sat and I am trying to work out whether (i) they would pull availability given the uncertainty or (ii) this an indication (loose or otherwise) that they expect to run the services.

The EK website does not show services into Germany for tomorrow as cancelled ........... yet

The sheer volume of flights that LH are running today leads me to suspect that Germany will follow the Swiss in the not to distant future -- any strong opinions to the contrary ?

The problem is that no-one knows what the situation is from one hour to the next, not even from one day to the next.

A shift in the wind, or some rainy conditions and everything could end.

That'll be why EK continues to allow pax to book later in the week.

Good luck!
Was the fact that BA pilots and planes made a concerted "attack" on UK airspace this evening anything to do with this opening up of UK airspace and revision of rules? If so, and I think yes, then well done to BA!

"We have been looking at mounting extra sections, including A380 special services where we will activate all the fleet that we have," Emirates president Tim Clark said during a media briefing yesterday.

He said the flights would go to bases such as Heathrow, Frankfurt and Rome "just as soon as the window of opportunity opens to us".

I will be surprised as now airports all over Europe has opened. Can't see any sense of sending extra flights to Rome when Heathrow, Frankfurt, Paris etc. are open.

Stop arguing for the sake of arguing, will you?

That was posted before all the airspace opened up, and came with the implicit assumption that this would be done should airspace remain closed.

Well having now been stranded in Dubai for a week.

This morning I managed to get confirmed on tomorrow's EK003, having been on the May 7th flight prior to that.

Certainly looks like two additional flights to LGW have been put on today.

Lets hope we go tomorrow!!!

No offence but you have a complete weird of trying to argue your point across. Rome was a hypothetical example, stop trying to be pedantic. It just comes across as bizarre.
