Easy Jet to TLV?

Does anybody know more info on Easy Jet plans to start TLV?

perhaps Ryanair also start this route and offer free seats standing up? Phew! Just imagine how these flights would like with all these typical Israelis having an excuse to run about the whole flight!

To be honest, I think the route is overloaded with seats at the moment.
7 flights a day from LY/BA/BD plus various charters...

I give up I just dont understand why Virgin Atlantic (Bramson) never went for TLV. Hes gone after BA all over the World but didnt budge when it came to TLV. Now with BD coming in and Easy about to start I guess he'll never fly in

Why did they choose LTN and not LGW -- was it to compete with El-Al's new service from LTN?

And does an airline like EasyJet fly into the old terminal at TLV, or the new one (Terminal 3 with the beautiful stonework, glass and ancient mosaics above the entrance portal to the immigration hall)?

Lucky it's not the dreaded Ryanair, though.

I very much doubt they will fly into the old terminal but who knows...

Couldnt agree more in regards to RF.

No Israelis would agree to stand on a 4-5 hour flight... (come to think of it, most of them do anyway... )

When Israel and UK signed the new air transportation agreement between them it was agreed that the UK goverment will choose only one more airline to fly LHR-TLV-LHR. Both BD and VS asked to fky that route. And the UK goverment chose BD.

Why did they choose LTN and not LGW
The air transportation agrrement does not allow flights from LGW and only allows LY (and charters) to fly to STN. So only Luton was left.

And does an airline like EasyJet fly into the old terminal at TLV
Just as Jet2.com - easyjet passengers will check in at the old terminal (1) and then a bus will take them to the new terminal (3), where they will pass the security check. The arrival will be into the new Terminal (3).

The timetable is:
LTN 1130 - TLV 1835 T3
TLV 1925 T1 - LTN 2305
the turnaround is really short...

Interseting I thought it was an Open Skies agreement. But my point was why didnt Bramson talk it up years ago and try or at least get something similiar to being waitlisted ?

I do believe it changed many yrs before BD started up. After all Israir and I think Arkia flew in at 1 time

It was changed in 2005. Israir also got permission to fly to LHR, but they have a slot problem.
