LY Portable DVD player

On a non-refurbished 777 flight this past week from BKK I saw someone using what looked like a portable DVD player that I think was branded by Asus. It seemed to have a touch screen as they were also playing some game with a stylus. Towards the end of the flight the FA collected it from the passenger leading me to understand that it is LY equipment. Due to the Asus logo I figured I could just look it up online so I didn't ask. I can't seem to find this device on their website. Anyone know what this is?

It is called a Vidibox and is only available on certain flights. It is free in Biz but there is a charge in Economy and has to be ordered in advance.

Details are available here.

Me too but besides my flight in the 767 from BKK I also have a colleague who arrived from BKK on a 767. Both were Thursday night flights so maybe this is the pattern.

I guess this has something to do with the Passover traffic which has more pax to Europe and USA and less to the Far East. Maybe LY have switched aircraft so a bigger plane will fly to CDG and LHR and a smaller one will do BKK.
