I am sure that any F/A from Elal will learn a lot by watching a SIA F/A

I am waiting that someone will ask me to come again to Singapore

Did anyone here did the 772 F with Elal?
I wonder if its a better product

Never did the 772 on any class... However,

A friend of mine just flew the LY 772 on C (not F...) and then a week later he flew with me on C of the LY 763 (Surprisingly even though we both fly a bit we never flew the 763!!)

Our conclusion was - the 763 C seats are better than ALL other C seats of LY. Better than the 772, 777, 744, 738, 757, and so on. They are not stiff (Like the new 772) and very comfortable (I would even say they are more comfortable compared to the new C of LH!).

Just my (crazy?) humble opinion

Not at all. I was thinking the same, but then later on in the flight I changed my mind a bit. I think it has something to do with how the seat is adjusted.

Whatever the case, Virgin Atlantic's Upper Class design states that the firmness of seat/mattress for sitting/sleeping is different, and that one type cannot do both. That is why their seats 'flip over' with a softer surface for sitting and a firmer one as a mattress for sleeping. It works very well indeed. I think that there is one airline which has firm mattresses which fit on top of the First Class seats to solve the problem, but I cannot remember which airline it is.

the 762 or 763 has the best seats in Elal C class.
But....
LH C class is much better.
Better privecy , better bed , better VOD ,more space ,more width

I was flying the 762 to Miami 4 times this year and the 763 to BKK once
I must tell you that LH from Tlv to Fra is much much better.
(and lets not talk about the service in LH and the food which
are 10 times better the LY)

in 2 days and I will fly with the 738
can you guess how many F/A will serve C class
send SMS with 1 if you think there will be one
send SMS with 2 if you think there will be two

the winner gets First Class Pantofalch

I flew LH C only a couple of times (Both new and old), and I agree -> the VOD on the new one is uncomparable to anything LY has to offer, but pure seat-wise I still prefer the 763 LY C.
That is what I meant.
Best

On the 744, A346, or both?
Only ever done LH long haul in F, and while the seats are ok but not great (even compared to BA's 12 year old F seats) the service on board, and especially on the ground were fantastic!

Last time I checked the new C was only on the A34X and not on the 744 which still has the old (and bad in my opinion) C class. Last time I flew C in LH was in Feb. 07. Things might have changed since then.

all the LH C is the same now for more then 5 month in any big A/C

And the seat is better then any 767 762 763 in Elal

It's a big big C class with many seats, a lot of room , always looks clean.

You don't see or smell the legs of the person who is seated behind you when you recline.

see you tonight on the good old 738

Just wanted to share my first first class experience with you all.
I fly quite a lot for business but unfortunately most of the time in coach. Rarely I fly in W so I can never upgrade to First.
That is why I have decided a couple of months ago to redeem some points and get a F (actually P) class ticket to LHR. I booked a 744 TLV-LHR and 777 on the way back.
The F experience in the airport was very nice - Was whisked away in Ben Gurion directly to First lounge which is more or less the same as the Kind David regular lounge only less people and quieter.
Then directly to the plane.

The 744 first is great (in my opinion much better than the 777 which is just too small in comparison to the 744) the amount of space per passenger is amazing!
The F was full and fortunately for me 6 of the other passengers knew each other (and the crew as well!) so the entire flight to LHR was like a small party aboard the plane (which I joined of course as a good Israeli that I am :-)) - Because of the enormous space on the 744 first everybody could stand and easily chat in the middle of the plane and drink and just have a nice conversation/time.
Frankly I do not even remember the food (To be brutally honest I would prefer the coach HUMUS AND PITA :-)) I do remember the seat which was very comfortable especially in the sleeping position.
I did not feel the time running and viola we started the landing procedures and landed in LHR.
On the way back I flew 777 with 4 other people (who turned out to be football agents and not on the talkative side) - The space is much smaller on the 777 and you do not have the same spacious feeling that you have on the 744 - Of course the seat was the same (it was not the 772) and the meal/service the same.
To summarize the 744 flight to LHR was by far the best flight I ever had, crew was amazingly nice and helpful and fellow passengers nice as well and of course you get the best seat in the house :-)
The 777 was of course great - But nothing compared to the 744 in which you just felt as "Royalty".
My next F experience if hopefully in 2 months but this time on LH 744 and LH 343
Just wanted to share
I Know alot of people that perfer the 744 over the 777 and i always fly only 744

Unfortunately you will not have time to do the First Class Terminal experience at FRA, but there are two First Class lounges in T1 which you should have a few minutes to sample, depending upon which gates you arrive at and depart from. These are very pleasant spaces and offer a literal taste of the dedicated terminal. There are cold food offerings as well as the full bar that can rival just about any nightclub on the planet...particularly if you are partial to single malts. The lounges are generally next to or upstairs from the Business and Senator lounges.

This happens in every country when competing airlines are able to offer the same destination via their home hub. Brits can fly LH or AF cheaper via FRA or CDG than BA from LHR...and Germans and French on BA via LHR. Nothing mysterious about it. You're paying a premium to flying nonstop, and the home carrier has a slight advantage. However, competitors can also offer cheaper fares and put you onto their onward flights at a marginal cost as they are topping up their home loads with passengers who originate in other countries and are willing to do the transt/connection. And of course, when it comes to flying in First Class and being able to fly SQ, BA, LH for less than your home carrier....why not!?

Thanks for the added information - However I think that this added premium as you mentioned does not justify at all the extra price - Specifically in F.

My second F experience - The saga continues

Hi all,
Following my previous report regarding LY F and following the many nice replies I would like to share with you my recent (2) flights in LH F.

I recently flew with my wife on the 744 and 343 on the LH F.
My summary is that I had great time but I still prefer LY :-)

Regarding LH - first of all the space on the 744 is amazing and the upper deck is much nicer than the F cabin in the 343. The food was so so and the service very nice, of course the First Class Terminal in FRA is great and the service there is impeccable, and I really like the extra touch of the limousine drive to the plane :-).

However, since this is the LY forum let me add my PERSONAL feeling regarding LY versus LH. I would still prefer LY F to LH F. In my opinion - The food in LY was better, the seat was better in LY, the lounge is better in LH and the service was better in LY - So all in all LY F (only on the 744) wins in my case.

My next adventure is (with the help of god :-)) SQ F soon.
Best to all

I assume you mean the on board service?
The FCT is not just better, it is a million times better then anything LY offer.
In fact the whole ground services and experience when traveling LH out of FRA is fantastic in comparison to any other airlines I have traveled with.

I'm sure LY's service onboard in F is great, although I have never sampled it myself.
