I think that the point made by ly787 is that when Delta started their TLV-ATL service they offered double miles for travelling Economy and triple for Business for anyone travelling before June 30. LY is only offering a 50% bonus and only if you fly Business.

not so cheap
one flight will get you 800 for D/I + 400 for the promotion +25% or 50%
if you are GL or PL so it 1400 or 1600 points...
looks OK for me when a ticket to Europe is 1800 points in Biz Class

Actually the 767's Business class is much more comfortable than on the 777, though they dont have the Individual TV's.
I think the point was to attract buisness customers because they offer the only nonstop LAX - TLV. No need to stop in YYZ.

WOW!
I've really been out of the loop for a while. I didn't even know this route was going 777 nonstop. That's so fantastic.
I really hope tourism picks up enough to get that ORD-TLV nonstop back again, but in the meantime, I'm going to try to pester my family in LA to visit Israel more.

Biz Class TLV-ATL-LAX -- until June 30
TLV-ATL 6437 miles x 1.5 (for Biz) = 9655 x 3 for special bonus = 28965 miles
ATL-LAX 1946 miles x 1.5 (for FC) = 2919 miles
LAX-TLV 1946 miles x 1.5 (for FC) = 2919 miles
TLV-LAX 6437 miles x 1.5 (for Biz) = 9655 x 3 for special bonus = 28965 miles
Total: 63768
If you are GM or PM you get double base miles which means an additional 16766 miles. That brings the total to 80,534 miles.
That is enough for:
2 and 2/3rds r/t award tickets TLV to Europe in Coach (on LY)
or
2 r/t r/t award tickets TLV to Europe in Biz (on LY)
or
1 coach ticket to the US (on LY or any SkyTeam partner)
