UAE flights

Hello

i read that Etihad Emirates Israir and Arkia will fly there soon and that low cost companies might follow. But I did not see elal in any article. Are they supposed to fly there? Among the first airlines to do so?

If El Al isn't flying to the US right now, don't hold your breath waiting for them to announce Dubai.

I see they added DXB to the list of the detsination on the search engine of ELAL's website.
Does anyone know when they will start flying there?

No flights are loaded into the routes database yet for TLV-DXB - and the Emirates web site is still blocked from Israel.

Don't hold your breath.

I can access emirates.com from Israel - and can see TLV in list of origins/destinations.
I can even book a flight to TLV to LHR (via DXB) for a reasonable price.

What you are seeing has FlyDubai codeshares on TLV-DXB segments

This means we now have:
  • Fly Dubai: / 737-800
  • Israir / A320
  • Arkia / E190
  • EL AL / 737-900 & 787
  • Etihad / A321 (AUH)
This is wonderful

Now we just need to be able to travel. I am hoping for some Africa travel this coming June-July and then going LUN-DXB-TLV. Now have the choice of FZ or LY.

Will there actually be enough demand to justify that level of service? Five airlines serving the route is more than serve TLV-NYC! I have a feeling we'll see something of a shakeout next year, with El Al the most likely victim. The UAE carriers can capture a decent amount of connection traffic, Israir/Arkia presumably can offer lower costs and vacation packages, but El Al has a higher cost structure and no real connection network. I guess much will depend on whether El Al can get a decent codeshare deal to piggyback on the Emiratis' networks.

Well, FZ is just a precursor to EK metal serving TLV.
I think LY will do just fine, they have the corporate contracts and if they get their act together can start to offer unique package deals from Europe to Dubai with a few days stop-over in Israel. They can even offer the same from North America, what would stop them from offering the same from North America? NOTHING.

I think Arkia will be the likely loser here, unfortunately, with E190's it's unlikely that they will be able to compete with the larger aircraft (thus lower p/seat cost).

the daily flights leave at 6 am and 1 pm
And the extra flight is at 11am on Sunday and Thursday

All the listings in this thread are ex-TLV. When are the return flights and are there minimum stays? When Covid-19 stops being a factor I think I would like to go to Dubai for two or three days.
