Anyone know what is going on, Since I am flying tomorrow I also took a look at further reservations. I have reservations JFK-TLV , TLV -JFK in Dec. and March. It was supposed to be a 787 one way and a 777 the other. It is now showing as a 747 both ways. Any idea what gives. I thought the 747 was supposedly being retired by the end of 2018?

is there anything official/scheduled there?
Obviously, replacing a 767 with a 787 is a much more capacity-similar move, and the 767s are ancient and uncompetitive.
once we get them in YYZ, LY becomes a good option again...

The 787s will be used on other routes are the 767s will be withdrawn faster than expected. Thus, the 787s will be used on secondary routes rather than to NYC where the 744s will be heavily used
