4X-EAE has left the fleet

Apparently, 4X-EAE (762) has left the fleet in May.

Will 4X-EAF be withdrawn soon, too?

Hopefully they will be replaced by A330s

good riddance indeed.

I'm not sure why they would go with the 330, unless they could get them at an unbelievable discount.

The A330s are from the old generation.
LY has to buy new generation a/c: don't forget that they keep their planes during 25 to 30 years

In previous threads I mentioned in detail as part of my business plan I would replace the 777 and 767 fleets with A330's to increase overall efficiency and reduce fleet types.

At this point in its product life cycle, and with the right person negotiating the deal, I believe LY could get the A330 at an unbelievable price/lease rate.

Would you care to explain why you believe so?

Here we go again...

Surely you know the reasons by now? How many times can we go over the same thing over and over again...

Obviously this would change as soon as you take over the airline, but until then it just won't happen...

And trust me, this is not because I wouldn't like to see A333s on the LY fleet (it's one of my favourite aircrafts).
