Isn't EL AL already handing out Ipads on B767 flights? It's really not such a "joke" of an idea given the fact that budget divisions of notable companies, such as Singapore Airlines, are doing this. To address the issues of malfeasance with regard to ipad use on flights and battery charging, perhaps someone could come up with some sort of design where the ipad is inbetted into the seat and is routinely charged automatically, like the IFE units, with the added benefit of the system costing and weighing less than conventional IFE systems?
