Diminishing Amenities in Business!?
I am a casual traveler. I fly twice a year to Israel. Arrived yesterday and it seems to me that business is charging more and giving less
Correct me if I am wrong- at one point there was wine offered with the meals--no wine
there was a hot cloth to wipe yourself multiple times during the flight--now, only after they woke you
there were nuts served with the liquid that was offered before the meal--no nuts, hey--no drinks before the meal either.
The meal itself is getting smaller and plainer. Didn't breakfast used to be two courses?
Now, I do not fly business for the food but...
And I should add that the amenity bag is a joke. First the contents got less and less and now the bag is basically a rectangle of cotton sewed into a bag. Who are they kidding? Why not just pass out socks and eyeshades and call it quits?

Unless LY have become a "dry" airline recently wine is served in all classes including Y.
Was there no wine list with the menu?
It's called a hot towel
liquid?

I find this very hard to believe.

correct there was NO wine list with the menu! --I kid you not.
It's called a hot towel
originally I had written "towel" --but decided that the little square of cloth didn't deserve that name!
liquid?

It really depends which class you fly, In Economy, No more Alcohol....
On Business there is Alcohol as much as you want, You simply need to ask if they didn't passed with the chariot...
(Clubman, Its not called hot towel, Its called Turkish 8-))
On short flights the dont offer anymore the amenities kit, but you can choose
which item you want out of a tray...
I just came back from a flight (somethings to say on next thread)
And everything was ok...

I was traveling business. I didn't think to ask--just figured it would be served ( as it used to be) The amenities are almost, as I wrote non-existant. Oh yes--NY-TLV--not exactly a short flight!!

That's a new one...
You must be an easy customer to please if you are happy with just "ok" when travelling a premium class

Hmm..., Sorry checked about it (Last time i saw economy was when we had to exit via the other door!), Economy, Simple Wine, Not sure about Beer and its
only for lunch/dinner.
In the past they would offer more, but that's stopped long time ago...
Actually this is the original name in EL-AL, Where did it came from? dont ask
me, But if you see an FA telling to another FA that they are out of turkishes
("Turkishim") you will now understand what's that.
I dont consider myself as an easy customer, I am sure EL-AL doesnt as well
If i pay for something (anywhere) i expect to get the basic of what i paid for.
If i get less, Oh Vei Zmir on what i am going to do to the service provider.
I have seen superb service in C & F, And i have seen very bad one, Saying
Ok means it was somewhere in the middle.
