Trip report in F

I was flying 4 times this last 2 weeks in F to LAX, EWR and JFK.
2 of the flights where very good .
The one to Lax was exrtraordinery and the persur and F/A reminded me the
Singapore airlines in F. They where always trying to give more then what I asked. Always looking at the cabin to make sure we are all OK.
There was a problem with the Video for one of the PAX and the F/A
took her personal laptop and gave it to him to watch movies she had there
until the problem was solved.

The flight from TLV to JFK was very bad. The F/A worked liked it was
a biz class or ecconmy plus...
You had to ask for evrything : Water , sleepr kit , papers etc.
We didn't saw the persur even once in the cabin and the service was very slow. The F/A vanished after they served the meal and I had to look for them
in the upper deck all the time. ( I go to sleep at 5am)
The cabin was full with very rich people and only 2 upgrades (me and the
the guy next to me) We both agreed that this was the worst F/A ever we saw in F.
Maybe the real F guys didn't arrive so the purser moved 2 C or Y guys to work
in F at that flight.

I was sitting in the F section in the Meriot on the way back from EWR.
There was one guy with us that waited until the last call and the last shuttele.
He walked with us through the security line where everyone moved to the side. He walked with us through the long line in the sleeve, where everyone
moved to the side, But on the plain he was sitting in Y.
This was a great trick and even I was amazed by his Hutzpa,,,

The F/A gave her personal laptop to a pax? IMHO, that's a very stupid F/A, no matter what class this guy was sitting in or how much money he has.

One personal remark - it does not take much to run your text through a spell check before posting. I counted more than 15 spelling and grammer errors in your short text, plus some items that are Hebrew more than English. For example, you board a plane using a Jetway, not a sleeve ...

I have just placed (few hours ago) a complain at EL-AL on my Thursday flight
from JFK to TLV, I was in C class, Service was worse than economy...
Somehow the Service Call buttons didnt worked 8-),
I was sleeping when they gave the amenity kits, and when i asked mine
they asked me what i need as they try to save (they forgot that they just
gave everyone a full kit!).

Anyway i notified EL-AL, That even if its going to hurt my TPL for next year,
I am stopping to fly NYC with them, On every flight i had in the past 2 months (around 5 flights) i felt like someone is doing me a favor!

LAX Crews are the best, I know 90% of them and they know me...
If you were flying out from LAX yesterday (Monday), I know the crew
that were on the flight, Amazing one!

-------------------------------
apicheck :-) , It is very rude to call a F/A stupid for beeing nice.
She was very helpful for all the pax and she is one of the best
F/A I have ever saw.
I will update you when I will improve my English in a PM.
Until then, don't read my posts

A general suggestion for the Hebrew speakers among us (I am one, I admit):

1. use firefox (it has an automatic spell checker, which works wonderfully). It also helps to hide the ads.

2. Due to many reasons, most of us speak Heblish, English words in constructions and structures which make sense only in Hebrew (and Arabic, for that matter). While in this forum I guess it's ok (yeah, we all know what "let's go beach" means, and that "I tall" is a legitimate statement), there is no reason to stick to our mistakes (and for sure there is no reason to be proud of them). Now, don't get me wrong, Heblish is much easier to understand than some Chinelish or japanlish I've heard (and I've heard this from English native speakers from both sides of the Atlantic pond), but still...

3. LiorM, you reminded me the joke about the "gabay" of the synagogue who did not knew how to read and write, was fired, and at the end of the process became a very successful businessman. When he came to the bank to sign some documents, he told the manager that he does not know how to read, and the manager goes - you made so much money without knowing how to read? I can only imagine what you would have become if you knew to read. The answer of the guy was that he would have been a gabay .

and btw, apirchik, this is an Israeli forum, for better or worse... our definitions of personal space are very very very different than most western societies. Or in Heblish - In your mother, don't be heavy .

Back to the original post...

I have a friend from NYC that came with ELAL Biz class for a week.
I was able to get for him and his wife 77A and C.
They were very happy with the flight but felt that the F/A
wasn't so friendly. They felt they just did their job and no more
then that. I am not going to write everything because I am afraid of
spelling mistakes.

Time to reset this thread.

I've gone ahead and deleted the discussion of spelling mistakes, grammar, and Flyertalk rules -- all of those are off-topic for a conversation about LY's first class.

LiorM - Once again, I'm sorry you got insulted by my remarks. Let's move on.

I had my F trip on LAX-TLV a few days ago and I have to agree with the thread opener. The service on this route is substantially better than the service I get on TLV-JFK-TLV (sometimes the service is good there as well), the cabin was almost full and the FA's did a great job in attending everyone's needs.

One thing that annoyed me a little was the ground crew in LAX (and in TLV sometimes). They kept asking me and checking if I'm really in F... I guess it is understandable because I'm pretty young but it's still annoying and unpleasant sometimes.

I dont think you should be intimidated because of your spelling. There are many people on this board for whom English is not their mother tongue.

Also, the person who did not like your spelling quickly apologized for his/her remarks, which was gracious of him/her.

Please post as you do. If people want to read, they will, if not, they can just ignore your posts.

Can I advise that we close the spelling discussion.

How does one go about obtaining such a pass? Friends in high places?
