How's the situation with Easyjet at AMS?
I've read that AMS is currently a mess.
Is the M pier just as bad? I'm trying to see how early I should arrive for my 6pm flight.
I'll be arriving at noon on a separate airline and was wondering if I could head out to the city during the 6 hour layover.

It all depends on the day and time. The M pier itself is fine, the problem is getting in to the airport land side and then through security and immigration. In normal days six hours is enough time to head to the city for a few hours, in the current climate I’m not sure six hours is enough. There are delays at immigration leaving the airport too, especially if you do not hold an EU passport.
