Last fall, Dollar was offering an incredible deal: Rent one-way between a corporate office in the NY area and a corporate office in FL, for only $1/day.
National/Alamo are now doing this in reverse for $20/day, Avis/Budget are only doing $10/day to the Piedmont region of the deep south, and Hertz is the new price leader, $3/day from certain FL airports to almost any corporate location in the US.
How is Hertz essentially now beating Dollar at its own game?
