Dollar Express. Sign up online at dollar.com. It has saved me hours and gotten the first car in when they have been sold out.

That is how they zoom us through the line. They have my drivers liscense info, insurance preferences, credit card info, second child's fingerprints, and my body mass index. I'm not sure how those last two help... I know some of it is an invasion of privacy, but that may be the price we have to pay. Some weeks I rent 4 cars, and the risk/benefit analysis works for me.

Dollar Express
I use Dollar Express every time I rent, it has saved me hours of time to get a car. Why more folks aren't using it I don't know? Picked up a car at the LAX location, must have been over 75 people in line, no one was in the Express line, guess who got a car quickly?
I'm renting a car, full size in Ft Lauderdale dropping off at MIA in order to take a cruise. Dollar has told me they provide a shuttle to the port of Miami but when I asked about where the pickup is, is there a schedule etc they seemed very vague. I called back twice with the same experience. Anyone use this service to the port?

It used to be called FastLane, now Dollar Express. I am a long-time member and 100% enjoy the service. I never need to wait in SJC, IAH & the worst of all, LAX. I accumulate 0.5 pt every rental toward my Southwest Award. I go to SJC so often that the Dollar mgr there never look at my reservation but give me the convertibles or Crossfire when he has a chance. So.... pay economy and get a Crossfire... now that's a sweet deal!

I've heard similar vague comments from different rental counters. I am anxiously awaiting a formal announcement.

Never underestimate the stupidity of the American public.
