Retrieval of Bags at JFK

Besides the Porters and Skycaps, will an airline honor a request to assist in baggage retrieval from the conveyor belt? This would be for a person who has a medical condition and cannot lift heavy items. I know that airlines accept requests for wheelchairs and other assistance for the disabled. Don't know if they do it for this scenario. I'm also wondering if Porters and Skycaps would routinely do this, of course for a pretty good tip. Anyone have any experience with this?

Thank You

It is the same thing. The service is provided by skycaps at JFK. If one really faced a situation where there was no Skycap physically present (beyond unlikely), your carrier's baggage office would page one for the passenger.
