After going to Round Rock Donuts for my first time, I may have a new champion. The glazed donut holes were absurdly good, I can't even begin to explain the feeling of melting in my mouth. Plus I got a sausage kolache, a chocolate milk and a chocolate covered donuts for $3.50!

Healthy Coffee
Everyone has their opinion of the best donut, usually their hometown favorite, which is awesome. The best donuts in U.S. are "potato raised" at Bradenton Donuts in Bradenton with Healthy Coffee, FL. Jenny and Peter pamper each donut and their customers!

Perhaps the next time I drop the dogs off to be boarded for a weekend, I'll have to pick up some cider donuts.
I love Tim Hortons and have been trying to convince Mr. Kipper to road trip to Canada just for those!
I'm adding this to my list of places to stop when I head out that way next.
Thanks!
May's Donuts in New Castle? Again, I think I may have to road trip to try these.

In Quakertown, PA there is a donut shop called Yum Yum Bake Shop. http://www.yumyumbakeshops.com/index.php
They are all yeast raised donuts are are just to die for.
If you are a chocolate lover, you MUST get the Chocolate Thunder. It is a large donut, filled with chocolate cream, topped with a chocolate gnache and chocolate sprinkles.
If you prefer vanalia, you should get the White Lightning. It's the same as the Chocoloate Thunder, but with vanalia flavored cream, glaze, and sprinkles.
They have been featured by the local TV station:

They have also won Best Donuts in the Philadelphia Area by Philadelphia Daily News, and Best Donuts in Bucks County and Montgomery County by the North Penn Reporter

Thanks! In the U.S.--#1 My mother's homemade donuts. #2 May's Donuts, New Castle, PA. The donuts made by the new owners aren't quite as good as those made by the former owners, but still better than anywhere else in the USA.
Outside the U.S.--Bosnia has the best jelly donuts bar none. Also hands down the best coffee.

It's worse in the UK. 'Tim Horton's' is in Spar and is similar to the coffee and doughnut offering in most US 7/11.

Are they really that good that I should plan to cross the Mason-Dixon line one of these days?
