Free Quizno's Sub Coupon

http://www.millionsubs.com

Quizno's, the sandwich toasters, are giving away 1,000,000 coupons good for a free sub. (No class action lawsuit this time, it's a promotion.) You have to be one of the first 1,000,000 and the coupon is only good for 5 days from the time you download it.

P.S. If you live in California, visit the California forum for your $2 Subway coupon.

Angry Only Participating Locations, And I Can't Find One

The nearest Quizno's to my home won't take the coupon. I am supposed to drive all over until I find a "participating location." Methinks this attempt at a promotion will backfire on Quizno's.

As always, most stores will just deny the coupon. Same scam Quiznos has been pulling for years. In fact, I once got a sheet full of coupons from my local Quiznos for my "next visit", when I attempted to use them a week later, they claimed they did not participate in that promotion.

Needless to say I just walked out the door and left them with the sub I ordered. We used to have 5 stores in my general area, now we just have one.

I don't wish to knock your efforts (and would hate to deny anyone a try at a freebie) but

is DiningBuzz the forum for freebies?

Perhaps a single thread for freebies with links to SPAM or elsewhere, but a thread for each freebie?

On this page of DiningBuzz I already see these freebie threads:
Could or should a single thread be both more useful and less annoying?

I'll leave that up to the mods, but I notice that each of the referenced threads has had dozens of views. IMHO it would be a mistake in this economy to assume that no one here is concerned about the cost of his or her next meal. I am sorry you are annoyed at having to read a couple of extra lines of print, but I hope I have helped feed a few people, and I'm not at all ashamed.

Update: I found a location that honored the free-sub coupon, on my third try. (I was kind of hoping for a class action lawsuit resulting, of course, in the issuance of more coupons.) The code on the coupon was keyed into a credit card terminal as if it were a $4.69 Quizno's gift card. I was charged 39 sales tax. Maybe the criterion for "participation" is that the location accepts gift cards.

Offer is no longer valid, according to the Quizno's website.
