Roasted ears of corn dusted with various seasoning powders, followed by a tie between the funnel cake and cinnamon powdered churros

As a native Minnesotan and regular State Fair-goer I consider myself to be somewhat of an expert on fair food :p The favorites I keep going back to year after year are cheese curds, fried walleye, fresh-cut french fries, mini donuts, pronto pups (corn dogs to the rest of the country) and corn on the cob, not to mention the more exotic things that are fun to try from time to time like ostrich burgers and alligator nuggets. Fair food is serious business in MN!
