What kind of woman eats at Hardees?

If you live in or visit the South (and watch any TV) you've seen the ads. Blue collar, hungry men eating enormous hamburgers. They don't care if they get bbq sauce all over their t-shirts. (They also don't care about the health department inspection score on the wall). Everything's big, everything's designed to clog your arteries, hamburgers are never bare but other men's favorites are used as toppers: bacon, onion rings, roast beef (!!??), 3 more hamburgers.

I don't eat there. Every Hardeees I've been in is filthy. It's funny because their Western counterpart (Carl's Jr.) is almost identical but much more likely to be clean.

So yesterday as I'm stopped at a light, I watch 4 cars doors open and 4 women head for the front door of a local Hardees. Bathroom (shudder) stop? Meeting guys? Splitting a cheeseburger? What kind of woman eats at Hardees?

My wife does. I can't eat the burgers anymore, but when she's got a serious burger craving, she runs through the drive-through for one of the thickburgers.

Now, Hardee's breakfast biscuits can't be beat.

I certainly do not eat there but I know what you mean. I went to college in Saint Louis and of course Hardees was there but I am from Southern CA and we have Carls Jr. Like you said Hardees is nowhere as clean as Carls Jr. Every now and then I will get a breakfast sandwhich from Carls Jr. if I am in a hurry in the morning but it is not very often.

I used to live in Northern Virginia near Washington DC, and Hardee's was the second most disgusting fast food restaurant on the landscape. The flat-out worst was Roy Rogers.

A few questions for the OP:

What did these women look like?
How were they dressed?
What kind of car were they riding in?

Since there were four women, this should be a fairly representative sample of the prototypical Hardee's customer.

i've only been to one hardees, off the freeway between cleveland and columbus, but it was very clean, and i liked my burger and fries (although i will admit it was hard to eat the damn thing while driving!)

1. Early 20's-mid 30's. Medium height & weight. 3 blondes & a brunette. Saw them all from the back so no facial details available.

2. Jeans & t-shirts. Typical casual dress for the area.

3. Not sure. It was shiny and relatively new. 4 doors. Probably intermediate size.

And yes, their combined weight might have equaled that of an average Hardees customer.

That may have been a new one, given the location. Some of the ones I've been in may date back to the 70's. There was one in Oak Ridge TN that remodelled and looked like a pigsty within a year.

I sometimes eat at Carls Jr or new looking Hardee's about 3 times in the last 2 years. I actually find them to be quite good because they are very friendly to not eating bread.
I like the egg breakfast bowl(no biscuits or anything) with some hot sauce it is good and quite cheap. It is good for a road trip anyway.

I don't have much clue about their burgers I pretty much only eat burgers I make at home.

I've found the Las Vegas Carls Jr's* to be as disgusting as the Hardee's in my home state of Wisconsin, YMMV.

OTOH, in the early 80's I enjoyed my hometown Hardee's as a place to hang out with my high school friends. For a year in the early 90's I enjoyed visiting that same Hardee's as a college student.

*In my two visits of the last eleven years.
