Paris Hilton might eat at Hardee's if her infamous 'Bentley Car Wash' commercial for Carl's Jr. were allowed east of the Mississippi.
IIRC, BNA, we got those Hardee's commercials here in WV when they were out. All the local newscasts made mention of them, too... as news items. I know all the bible thumpers here were upset with such a sexy commercial... and their husbands all went to YouTube and watched it a hundred times.

I am female. I worked at Hardee's when I was in high school (it was my second job after I told McDonald's to shove it after they fired my friends for having a party on their own time at the Hilltop House, but that's another story) in the mid-80's.

The Hardee's I worked at was pretty clean, and the manager was nice and the food was pretty darn good for rural Iowa. I loved the mushroom 'n' swiss burger, the apple pies and the tiny round hash browns.

Every morning all the old men of the town would come to Hardee's, get a small coffee and sit around talking. It was a local institution!

Now I travel the world and eat in fancy restaurants, but every once in a while I still think about those MnS burgers. Yum!

I didn't know they aired in the East...I think I was spending more time in CA and MN at that point. My wife actually thought they were funny.

I love Hardee's burgers, and I've always found their restaurants clean. McDonald's or Burger King, on the other hand... yuck

Waffle House? That's the best franchise in the world! If you have been cross-country on a motorcycle, you would know this!

Bottom line - Hardees went downhill after they changed their fries in the 90's.

Marry me.

I have done 2 cross-country trips with my boyfriend on motorcycle (yes I have my own) - we frequent Waffle Houses all the time. Love the All Star Special to fill you up before hitting the road.

My mum used to eat at the Hardee's in my hometown (along with the rest of my family, all guys, and about every resident of that village, pop. 2000).

Then, our dining choices were limited to 3 pizza places (all of which rotated being out of business) and a very sketchy Chinese place. But, we grew up very middle class and Hardee's was an acceptable alternative to my parent's hit-or-miss cooking skils

Hardees used to have great fried chicken too, like Church's in terms of the batter but bigger pieces^

It scares me a bit to think that some of the posts in this thread are actually serious.
