Trader Joe's garlic hummus doesn't. No sweeteners. No wonder theirs sounds better and the regular groceries' stuff tastes like....vile.

Nevertheless.....it's all about the bottles for me and I'm happy to have just taken delivery of a case of the aforementioned nectar here in the all too Dr Pepper dry NYC.

If everyone here wrote Coke in Atlanta, maybe their policy would change. We all agree we like it so much better.
When in the Caribbean try their product Ting, I almost got addicted to it. It reminded me of Squirt from my childhood-real sugar.
The only way I can drink the corn stuff is with a little spiced rum.

$3.99/4-pk
. More from the Atlanta Constitution Journal:
"In select cities, Pepsi is rolling out Pepsi Natural, a premium cola made from natural sugar, caramel, kola nut and apple extract. Natural will be available in Chicago, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Los Angeles, San Diego, San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Las Vegas and New York.
Pepsi also will release Pepsi Throwback and Mountain Dew Throwback, which will both use sugar and come in retro-look packaging. The Throwback products will be available across the United States for eight weeks starting April 20.
Coca-Cola and Pepsi both use cane sugar in Latin America but switched to high-fructose corn syrup in the United States in the 1980s. Government regulations in Latin America support the use of sugar while U.S. policy makes corn syrup more affordable here.
Coca-Cola has no plans to release special Cokes in the United States with sugar instead of high-fructose corn syrup, said company spokesman Dan Schafer. The company does make a kosher Coke in the United States during Passover that uses sugar."

I’m not much for soft drinks, but I think its good news that there are some options away from HFCS. Beyond HFCS, we’re getting too much corn in our diets. Just look at all the food that is prepared with corn oil.

It's a pricing issue. HFCS is considerably cheaper in the US, than is Cane sugar syrup (or even one no one here mentions, syrup made from beet sugar, and I suspect that sugar beets provide substantially more sugar to US consumers than does cane, only modestly farmed LA, TX and some in FL) and subsidized by price supports.

I picked up some Pepsi Throwback the other day, made with sugar. I highly recommend it. It was not as astringent as I find regular Pepsi or Coke. Also, Red Bull makes a cola that is made with sugar that isn't half bad either.

Ingredients list is: sparkling water, sugar, natural apple extract (color), caramel color, citric acid, caffeine, acacia gum, tartaric acid, lactic acid, natural flavor, kola nut extract.
Claims to be made with all organic ingredients, and the front of the bottle says "all natural cola" and lists sparkling water, sugar (instead of HFCS), and kola nut extract as the featured ingredients.
First sip was definitely something to get used to, but I'm starting to really like it now. I've never been one for regular Pepsi (I usually drink Coke or Dr Pepper).
