Easter Supper...:)
Well, I am finally going to treat and indulge myself at the famed Gary Danko restaurant tomorrow...
I hope it's as good as from what I read on Yelp.com
Happy Easter to all !

Supper at St Kilda tonight... anyone who has been there would find the Saint juxtaposition interesting.
It was good enough for us to hang out two nights in a row. ^

Many people visiting (or living in) St Kilda agree it is fabbo.
It was good for people watching, shop watching, walking, eating and drinking.
This weekend I noticed some street theatre and a strange woman doing some shop lifting! After notifying the shopkeeper (India-inspired homewares/clothes place) of the thief, she noticed the person had taken three dresses.
The previous night we had hot waitresses (hot especially to our lesbian friend), funky white boy music and goooood times.

So...the day after my scrumptious Easter meal...
But, please be cautioned; I decided to not sit at the bar at Danko and drop $200 for dinner...
I will try again for my bday in May.
I digress...
So, I ended up going here, and it was a perfect 10!--

The red wine flight all the way to the perfectly cooked rib eye and finishing with the pumpkin bread pudding=flawless!
the entire 2 hour gustation= $85 !!!!!
Mahalo,
Patrick

We had brunch chez lala with an egg hunt, two locally raised hams and all the fixings.
As usual, someone forgot one dish, the potatoes. So, I guess we'll be making fish pies and shepherd's pie with the leftovers.
I am going to google the restaurant that pallensf is taking about. I have not a clue.

OMG! You went to our absolutely favorite resto in SF instead!
We have known the owners of 1550 Hyde, Kent and Peter, forever - Kent used ot play a mean saxaphone nad played in Mr. squeakr's band. When they left their resto jobs (Kent was the wine guru at Lark Creek Inn; Peter apprenticed at Bizou) we said "you're crazy, you'll go bankrupt....
They opened JUST the kind of place they wanted =- small, California cuisine with a decided french twist and dinner for two easily under $200. The week they opened they got a 2 page spread in the Chronicle...and have been a fabu success since.
We love them and am so glad you wound up there. \
For less than special occaasions they also offer a $20 or maybe it's now $25 prix fixe Sunday -Thursdays!
You couldn't have done better - glad you had a great Easter!

I had been there a year or 2 ago, and was blown away back then.
My Easter meal there left me speechless...again...
Maybe I will run into you sometime there, and we can do a wine flight together!
