Maybe 6 times a year. Only in social situations, I never drink at home.

Drank every weeknight and all day Saturday and Sunday for 10 years. Quit cold turkey for 16 years. Resumed 10 years ago. Average 2 drinks a night, 6 nights a week.

used to drink a couple beers a week and maybe a glass of wine or two. Now, almost never at home and sometimes when at a business dinner overseas.

Weekends. A margarita or 3 + some wine - over the whole weekend. Nothing excessive.

I tend to drink more during business dinners. A couple of glasses of wine and maybe 1 cocktail is the norm.
At home, a good glass of red wine from time to time. Beer? I bought a case (you can only buy beer by the case in PA) before the Super Bowl. I have consumed maybe 7 or 8 beers from this case.
There was a time in my 20's and 30's where I could hang all night with co-workers at conventions or seminars and get totally blitzed. I would then bounce back easily for an 8 AM meeting.
Alas, those days are over. Now if I overindulge, I feel like crap until noon. So, I just don't do it.

Well I got sick of reading how bad excessive drinking was for me. So I gave up reading.

I was just thinking that as well!

In reality though, I consume alcohol 1-3 times a week, but generally in copious amounts (still in college...). Lately though I've been moving to enjoying a nice drink or two of bourbon or scotch when I'm at home watching tv before bed. I also have the occasional beer with my meals (I like the fruit based ones like pumpkin ale or apricot ale).

If I'm out with friends on a Friday/Saturday then it's generally lots of crappy beer and jaeger bombs. If I'm really looking to get sloppy, I'll bring along my own bottle of Knob Creek and sip on about half of that all night

It's always fun to see people from cultures where they cannot refuse the offer of a drink.

I always ask them anyway.
If they do not say yes they are quite ill or dead.

I almost never refuse a wine tasting, unless I know it the taste is worse than the buzz. Usually there is one among the dogs that will be worth a try.

At one company that I worked at years, Scotch-Thirty would happen many afternoons around 5:30. It's a wonder we got anything accomplished.
