Well I wasn't impressed with OTB when I last tried them...
But, restaurant cheese enchiladas is one of my weaknesses...
But, in what dimension would unlimited enchiladas be healthy?

Many all-you-can-eat offers rely on some form of throttling, usually in the form of the waiter simply delaying the next portion or only stopping by at irregular intervals. Can you comment on OTB's strategy (or lack thereof) in this department?

FWIW, I have always found that OTB's service has been on par or better with the other restaurants in the same class (Chilli's, etc.) I think if you set an expectation when you order that you are hungry and would appreciate if the server keep them coming that you would likely get just that.

Hand the waiter a couple bucks when they refill your order, bet they will be all over you after that.
I think I've only eaten there three or four times, for no other reason then there really isn't one near us and it's not in a direction we would drive the 20 or 25 for dinner, there are many other mexican places in between.
I do know people who love the place though.
Given the choice say if I was in a hotel someplace on a business trip, and it was the usual suspects of that price/quality range, I would probably go with On the border over Chili's, TGIF, etc.

We used to go all the time. Then the management & quality changed. We've been going somewhere else. Returned a couple of times lately and the food was better ^
Highly recommend combining this Enchilada promo with HAPPY HOUR
They have great margaritas 
You can eat in the bar for Happy Hour and order off the regular menu.

I have a client that gave me 2 $100 gift cards from Chili's, also good at On the Border. We used them once at OTB, we were really disappointed (though we're struggling to find things we're not tired of at Chili's). Might go back for unlimited enchilada's though - they're kind of hard to mess up. Thanks. ^

How many enchiladas can one eat at any price?? Granted, I have a small stomach (and prefer to save such precious real estate for liquor rather than food), but enchiladas are really filling, no? What is the max number you could eat without puking -- 3, 4?

Good point, 3TAL. The regular price for a 3-enchilada dinner with beans & rice is $8.49 in my neck of the woods. I'd have to eat at least 5 before I felt I made out OK in the all-you-can-eat deal. In my younger days, I'd just be getting warmed up with 5, nowadays 3 is plenty.

Interesting that it appears to be a nationwide promotion. $9 enchiladas are a deal in some places, not so much in others.
On the Border doesn't dare enter my home state of NM (check out their map of locations; we're a noticeable hole in it), where you could get better enchiladas pretty much anywhere for less money. In NC, it's kind of a better deal.
