Mince pie, at Pittodrie on a cold sat afternoon.

It has been 20 years since I left Aberdeen for the US, and I still miss those pies.

Stone Hut Bakery, between the Clare Valley and southern Flinders Ranges (about 200km north of Adelaide, South Australia).

Admittedly slightly out of the way if you're feeling peckish......

Texas Pecan Pie

I have to throw my cowboy hat in here for the classic Texas Pecan Pie, correctly pronounced PuhcAhn, no Peecaan or peecahn around here. My grandmother, rest her soul, used to make a damn good pecan pie, but even her's isn't as good as this local Houston BBQ joint Goode Company makes. It's a cheesy website, and their slogans can be cheesy, but they make excellent food, and their Brazos River Bottom Pecan Pie is amazing.
