Hawai'i McDonald's serve Sai Min (noodle soup w/ garnishes); Eggs, rice and Portuguese sausage; and every so often, Tery-Burgers.

I remember seeing a 'MegaMac' in austraila. I am not sure what it had but didn't think it was sit well on top of several pints of Nelson's blood at the Lord Nelson in Sydney.

I see in the Sunday newspaper locally in Australia that they are trying a kids pasta meal, with loads of satisfying saturated fat.....
I love the quote: "A child could eat this pasta Happy Meal every day," Mmmmmmm fat..... http://www.news.com.au/sundaymail/st...003401,00.html |
I remember the McSnoopy in South Korea.

In the US, I've had the following experimental offerings:
-McPizza (very tasty! in both personal and family sizes) - Ohio. -McPasta (meh... also in Ohio). -Fried Chicken (excellent... forgot where). -McGriddles (started off as an experiment in San Diego County, and now it's everywhere :D) |
A decade back, I did a summer in Maine, and found that their "McLobster" was quite a creditable lobster roll....without the gobs of dressing, celery, and other garbage that most of the cheap tourist places served. Just enough mayo to keep the shredded lobster together and on a regular seseme seed bun.
Best thing on the menu! |
Hong Kong
Although now closed, the branch of McDonalds at the Fleet Club in Wanchai (My vote for McDonalds with the best view/worst smell) served McPizza and also beer on tap!
Any other McDonald's around the world selling Alcohol? |
When I travel I avoid McDonalds like the plague.

Probably also true for other countries in Europe.
And has anyone considered that while it may be "unusual" for us in our respective countries, our own items may be unusual to everyone else? I mean, I think egg/sausage on pancakes with maple drops is kinda weird (but oh so delicious!) |
... and part of the fun of travelling too. The sausage Mc Muffin in the US is quite different to what we have in Australia (different tastes I guess.....) I'll have to take notes in other countries now.... And beer in Maccas?!
An interesting thread indeed! :) |

For those uninitiated, the US version is a sausage patty, egg cooked all the way through ( :td: ), slice of American cheese in between slices of an English muffin. Do you Aussies replace the cheese with Vegemite? :D |
