I awoke to a headache in the middle of the night and went to the medicine cabinet. My bottle of generic ibuprofen had expired in 2004. Took a few and woke up fine later in the morning.

King Soopers guarantees thier milk will be good for 7 says after the sell by date, if kept properly refrigerated. I wonder how many containeers they get on the 6th day after, with 1 cup of spoiled milk in them, and people wantign a refund?

Also, for some reason, I though that guarantee was only on their milk in (paper) cartons, not the ones in plastic jugs. Is that correct?

Dated items don't GO BAD on the given date! ^
It is known to be STABLE until that date. :-:
Milk and cow dairy products are very susceptable to bacteria contamination from the time the cow is milked and therefore should be AVOIDED to prevent MUCOUS throughout the body, and Major Middle ear disease in infants/children.
Much healthier all the way around for youngsters and adults are Almond mild and Coconut Milk. Both better then soymilk! ^ @:-)
Drugs especially do not lose their potency on the given date! The Date means the Drug or Chemical is known to be STABLE until that time, and usually long after that! ^
In fact, the Dated periods are much shorter then in the past to encourage turnover!

Read www.notmilk.com for more information on milk!
Milk and cow dairy DO make them weaker!!
That is the point of avoiding it.
Even Goat milk yogurt is healthier!!^ ^

"What doesn't kill you will make you stronger."
On topic... does anyone buy meat from the markets that are discounted because the exp dates are fast approaching?

And I suppose I should go to www.peta.org for my beef information? Or www.beef.org for my Vegan information? Agendas are laughable.
I don't believe I said anything about you not being able to abuse your body. If you are Happy with your current program, I promise NOT to laugh!
What is YOUR AGENDA? You do have one!

Expiration dates? What are those?
I pay no attention to them. If it smells and looks okay, I eat it. Years ago, I remember eating a cup of yogurt monnnths old. I lived to tell.
And guess what. I don't like to refrigerate my food after cooking! My pot of soup has been sitting on the stovetop for 3 days now. My salad dressings sit out. My butter too.
And I don't have to worry about my meds going bad 'cause I don't "do" drugs.
YMMV.

Just last night, I opened up a can of Campbell's Tomato Soup (Mmm mmm good). It had this funny taste to it (very different from the can I had two days ago). I look carefully and it has a slightly darker tone to it.
I pull the can out of the trash, and the date printed on it was "Dec 2002"
Expiration date, sell by date, born on date.... every which way, that's way beyond for even me.
Now my question.... was it from the store, or was it in my cupboard all this time until now, while it slowly migrated its way forward like a brazil nut?
