No head, no feet should be part of the meal whether intended to be eaten or for presentation purposes.

Especially in China, trying to avoid hotels and restaurants where the customer has to do dishwashing because staff can´t be bothered.

Oh, and no insects in any form. I´ll allow myself that cultural insensivity from now on. And thinking of it, I might also be able to live on without cat meat.

I've never heard of re-heating steak. That's a big NO NO.

Better than throwing it away

Another reason to cook it medium to medium rare.

The best use for re-heated steak is this: slice thinly, put in a pan, cover with foil, poke a few holes in the foil. Heat at 325 until hot. Then serve on good flour tortillas.

Nothing sweet on my main course. No sweet and sour sauce, no citrus or berry glaze. Never. Ever.

That's why we have a four legged garbage disposal.

Another use for re-heated steak is to top a salad with it. The Mrs likes it when I do that, especially with leftover London Broil. She likes pink in it, so the reheat keeps it at about her level.

Celery is acceptable...the assumption is that most ingredients will be white (except for the necks on littlenecks).

No sir. I disagree on the bread medium.....nothing like a hard (ok, kaiser) roll that's been buttered and put on the griddle with a bacon press. Oh yeah, with white american cheese and ketchup too!

What about avocado and sundried tomatoes on a bagel? I've been getting that for breakfast a few times a week lately. Usually it's a sesame bagel.

I'm worried about the avocado situation on the east coast. I'm moving NYC soon and can't wait to have real bagels again, but I don't recall it being as easy to find avocados as it is in California. Hmm.

I believe the exact quote, from Inspector Harry Callahan is:

I was willing to concede your issue and then you go off with the ketchup thing.

You will not have any problem finding good quality avocados in NYC at any time of year.

Hotdogs only at the turn on the golf course or at a ball game.

Fast food only in a pinch on a road trip.

Try to minimize the processed food or anything containing trans fats.

That is pretty much it...
