And unfortunately
The ORIGINAL Pancake House
All items made from scratch, high quality and a premium price, but well worth it.

I guess you must have missed the link to the ORIGINAL PANCAKE HOUSE suggested SEVERAL times earlier in this thread. Their recipes contain only the very finest of ingredients, such as 93 score butter, pure 36% whipping cream, fresh grade AA eggs, hard wheat unbleached flour, and their own recipe sourdough starter.
Personally, I'd say the best pancakes I've had are still home cooked - fresh picked blueberries (the small, tart New England wild ones from behind my family's summer cabin) in the batter are something I've yet to come close to beating

Went to Original Pancake House (Falls Church, VA) for first time based on this thread
We got three orders of pancakes (for two people). The 49'ers were excellent--kind of crepe-like, but slightly chewy. Very nice and light, and we would definitely go back for them. We also tried the baked apple pancakes--I didn't particularly care for them; too much like a burnt apple pastry. The wife got the wheatgerm pancakes. Those were interesting--they tasted kind of like challah. One other nice touch is that they have fresh squeezed orange juice too.
