Restaurants in Santa Fe and ABQ

I'll be in Santa Fe and ABQ this weekend and was hoping for some dining tips.

Thanks in advance.

Here are some of my favorites in Santa Fe:

Upscale Santa Fe Southwestern (best first)

(1) Geronimo http://www.restauranteur.com/geronimo/
(2) Ristra Southwest / French fusion. Excellent!
http://www.ristrarestaurant.com/home.html
(3) Old House
(4) Anasazi (very upscale hotel restaurant)

Breakfast:
Cafe Pasqual's Great for breakfast (worth the wait - do not miss!)

Lunch:
Zia Diner
Plaza Cafe (down home New Mexican)(and Greek)

Places I dont like :
Santacafe - too full of itself, and snooty service
Coyote Cafe - Disneyland goes southwest

Have a great time.

I second Geronimo, but if you can't get in go to The Compound, just before it on Canyon Rd. Every bit as stellar and not as hectic inside.

We like SantaCafe and have not noticed the previous comment. Dinner for Two is a local spot that's not usually mentioned by tourists, and is fine dining, run by a family. Quaint and dark and good. Los Mayos around the corner is fabulous Latin American, but only a beer & wine license.

Finally, Guadalupe Cafe on Old Santa Fe Trail is awesome, awesome, awesome. Great sopaipillas, fresh red and green chile and killer New Mexican dishes in an adobe-like setting with a lovely patio. It blows away Pasquales in my book.

Oops! Forgot about Gaudalupe. Yes, I agree - a great place for breakfast or lunch.

Re: SantaCafe - I ate there several years ago and never went back. They may very well have had an "attitude adjustment", so its definitely worth a try.

P.S. Please try Ristra - you wont be disappointed.

If you like tapas, try El Farol.
