I have found that if you ask management and they have the ingredients then they will fill the order.

Ham, Turkey & Swiss sandwich dipped in an egg batter and deep fried. Served sprinkled with powdered sugar. At Bennigans, it comes with a side of raspberry jam. It's kind of getting like a sandwich on french toast.

I still get misty eyed over the loss of the London Broil at TGI Fridays. I just about begged (ok, I did beg) corporate to bring it back with no luck
The year we went to the Erie County fair and found out that Chef Felix and his pizza truck were no more was a sad sad day for all.

At New York Pizza & Pasta (11078 Santa Monica Blvd., W. LA, CA), they quit serving veal parmigiana heros. I had been buying them there for maybe 10 years. I assume it was the animal rights crazies that got to them.

I've found that most locally owned restaurants will prepare dishes that are no longer on the menu, upon request especially if they were popular.
Chain restaurants won't. Pretty much everything comes to them prepackaged. If they can't open the pouch, they can't serve the dish.
Just another reason to support locally owned restaurants.
