Good point! I used to frequent the one at the Scottsdale Fashion Square Mall in Scottsdale, AZ and always enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere.

Nobu
NOBU has my vote. There is only 20-some places worldwide (hope thats enough to consider a chain) and I've been to 6 of them all internationally. I love the Sashimi Tacos with Yellowtail,Beef Tataki with Ponzu and Garlic Chips and Soft Shell Crab Rolls..

I'm adding my praise to the others up-thread who mentioned Texas Roadhouse. All of the Longhorns in New England seem to really be awful, but all locations of TR I've been to have been excellent. ^

NOBU is pretty good- and always reliable- not sure if it is always worth the money- but the outlet in Hong Kong at the IC for example winds hands down just on the view alone.

I live in upstate New York and we have a couple of good local chains. Mighty Taco, Ted's, Jim's Steakout, and Anderson's.
Mighty Taco is a bit of cult here. I'm guessing they actually use 100% real ingredients in comparison to fake meat Taco Bell.

Finally tried Five Guys. Fantastic hamburger, but totally unimpressed with the fries. Peanuts were a don't care.
Will be going back for the burgers though for sure...

Got to be Cheesecake Factory for a major chain in the US. Although I had Olive Garden the other day and it actually was good...Oh and Margaritaville is solid. (http://www.margaritaville.com/index.php)

Bonefish grill is a very good chain restaurant and it is probably the only one I care to visit a regular basis. For burgers, In N Out, even though they do not have any on the east coast. Capital Grille is also very good for a "chain steakhouse"
