Chicago Loop - late nite eats
When friends and I are in Chicago for theater or opera, we like to eat dinner after the show instead of before. Usually this means after 11pm. The two places that we end up at are either Smith & Wollensky or Miller's on Wabash, because most everything else is closed by then. Does anyone have other ideas for the downtown or River North area for eating so late?

Not sure how late any of these are open, but I went to college at Loyola U and lived on the north side for years.
Try:
Cafe BaBaReeba (hhhmmm-tappas!) on Halsted
Pepper Lounge (A Swank Supper Club) I think on Halsted but might be Belmont
Wishbone somewhere on the near West Side-Southern-ish food and very tasty!!
Hey Ricky-I think this is a chain of great noodle dishes.
I think all of these should be around-been a little while since I was home (as my family keeps reminding me!) I've got cooler places to go!!!
Happy eating!

Used to be 10 miles/dollar on iDine but now it's only 5 miles/dollar, with no rewards on Fridays or Saturdays. Still worth the trip even with no rewards.
Closed Mondays (found this out the hard way), open until 1:30am Tuesday through Saturday and midnight on Sunday.

Hey, if Skokie can be considered "North Shore," then Wrigleyville can be thought of as "River North"
Besides, who doesn't appreciate a late-night ride on the Red line after partaking in theatre or opera?
And it's really redhead 26's fault! I was just adding some more detail. Thanks for calling out the error of my ways though, I'd hate to imagine what kind of place FlyerTalk would be if we ever ventured outside the realm of the original poster's question. Shudder.

I'm sure even Blort would drive across the city for just the right ______.
There's always time in the schedule for a good Chicago Beef Sandwich or Kick Butt Garlic bread from Leona's. Especially if you are down in Houston where they know Mexican, but they don't know jack about pizza!
