I can recommend Munich HR but not Heidelberg. Service was slow and unfriendly, food average. real pitty because location is very nice and the place is pretty small and cute

I enjoy it. Part of the Kumho building that has recently added many more restaurants (Korean BBQ, German beer garten, Singaporean restaurants, and even a Subway).

Does anyone have news from the Hard Rock in Chennai

I heard it was going to open around January 1st but my contacts there say it is not yet open...

I'm traveling to Chennai next week and was going to check it out...

I believe the HRC will be in the old hookah/coffe house location Mocha?

thanks

wow, can't believe I've been here all these years and never found this thread.
I collect the HR Hurricane glasses. I don't actually eat at most of the cafes but I always go in and buy a glass (and sometimes a drink). I'm not even sure how it started.
I' ve been to scores and scores of them. I'll try and type a list soon.

As an aside, any idea where I can get a replacment Hurricane for Catania?
I've checked eBay now and then but to no avail. It closed back in 06 and my glass broke ina move two years ago. I'd like to replace it.
The Catania cafe location is now a McDonalds. Until recently you could still go by and see the signage. It really was in a kind of an odd location near the fish market. But I digress.

My first was the old Houston location (off Kirby drive. It is now downtown).

Great thread

My hometown, Edmonton, even had a HRC at our famous, or infamous, West Edmonton Mall once upon a time (early 1990's maybe?) so add that one to your list of closed locations as well.

Also Key West technically lost it's restaurant but still has a HRC souvenir outlet as I got a T-short there a month ago and love it.

There have been lots of HRC closures in Asia. In fact, the HRC here in Beijing sells memorabilia (at a big discount) from locations that have been closed for years.

Question about redeeming points on the All Access card.

I was just going through a receipt from a few days ago and see that the restaurant only deducted enough points to cover the meal...but not the taxes. I calculated the tip based on the pre-tax amount (like I always do) but now I'm wondering if I should have added another couple of bucks to cover the taxes.

Any insight on this? When redeeming points on the card, does it only cover pre-tax amount? Was I supposed to cover this? Or did the restaurant mess up?

MHO is it blows. I visit a few times a year buying merchandise and the occasional meal and yet never seem to ever come close to the minimum amount of points for an award. They've made it harder as all points earned expire after one year plus they can close your account after one year of inactivity.

Overall IMHO it's not as good as the former program and may just quit collecting altogether. I recently returned from BCN and didn't have my rewards number on me when I made my purchase but tried to credit it after the fact online and encountered massive issues. I sent an email and they credited my account but admonished me to always present my Rewards number at time of purchase. I liked the old plastic card but all I have now is the paper card I printed out online after the program change and don't always carry it with me when I'm sightseeing around a city.
