Now that you're retired, we need to plan a trip with BoeingBoy to head over to the Ridgewood near TRI for some good BBQ.

I am travelling a lot to KC at the moment and will be relocating there very soon. Tried Arthur Bryants - not bad at all- not bad. I still just prefer Gates and I do think that Oklahoma Joes is good. Must do Fiorella's Jack Stack soon. Any opinion on if the Jack Stack on the Plaza is best or the original Jack Stack at Main and 22nd?

Earlier this month I did a MR to DFW and got some BBQ from Hard Eight BBQ. I must say it was some of the best I've had

Pretty good but it helps to sit outside or you reek of BBQ by the time you leave.

I sat inside for a little bit but didn't stick around long -- I had a flight to catch an hour and a half later and still had to return the car.

I did purchase around $50 of food though and checked it back to SLC and had been enjoying it for much of last week

That's a problem?

Actually, I often stop there for lunch when I have an afternoon DFW departure, and I'm always concerned that the strong lingering smoke smell will set off alarms at the checkpoint.

Sims BBQ, Little Rock, Arkansas

Maybe not the best but it's a personal favorite and should be here for people looking.

Make sure to go to the right location though. The one on John Barrow is good, but the one on Geyer Springs is much better.

Thumbs up Top 10

I would round out the top 5, that I posted earlier with the following additions;
Arthur Bryant's - KC
Rudy's - Houston
Jack Stacks - KC
Oklahoma Joe's - KC
Zarda's - KC
(as you might infer, I've spent some time in KC recently. And these places all rank up there, IMHO:-
