at a dinner w/Diana Kennedy, this wine was served for one of the courses, the Goats do Roam '02.

I think I overhyped myself after reading your suggestion and reading other S. African wine as I did not really enjoy it.

BTW, details on the Diana Kennedy dinner here: http://www.flyertalk.com/dining/ftdi...ML/000073.html

I missed the bottler's name, but one of the
(dry) Steens was October's white on Continental domestic flights in FC.
I found it quite OK and was happy to see it again on my first flight in November.

The wines made by Springfield Estate in Robertson are excellent. Life from Stone is relatively easy to get in the UK, so I drink quite a lot of it. Methode Ancienne is a fascinating wine for a New World winemaker.

Try Havana Hills wines. Great--in a French style--Merlot, Syrah and Cabernet Sauvignon. The Merlot is the by-the-glass Merlot at Charles Nob Hill in San Francisco.
