Asking questions ...
Posted by: PepeLePew
I'm wondering if it's OK to go to a certain city or destination on the board and post a question?
For example, I'll be in Salvador da Bahia, Brazil in July and I wanted some feedback for hotels and restaurants there. Most posts here seem to be reviews rather than questions, so I'd like to know if questions are OK as well.
Thanks.

Salvador-Bahia
Let me try my best. The information I have
is dated. The city has both historic as well as modern architecture. The hotel chains Sofitel and Sol are represented there. If you want creature comforts check these two chains.
Food:- We ate mostly in small places, many that only accept cash - no credit cards.
Do visit the big elevator in the city. Take a trip to Itaparica Island (sp?) it is a full day kind-of-a thing.
Do also inquire at rec.travel.latin-america or do a deja.com search on Bahia.
