One of the Better Store Brands is Publix when it comes to Ice Cream in tubs. But I like the Edy's brand as well as Haagan Daaz especially the Chocolate Chip varieties like Vanilla, Chocolate and Mint Chocolate.

But I prefer the Novelties like Cones, Cookies, and Toffee Bars no matter the brand.

Yes, it's Edy's in Illinois too. All the same stuff. Just regular store bought ice cream IMO. Haagan Daaz is much higher on the ice cream food chain.

Trying not to go have more of that yummy ice cream i bought today.

Grilled corn on the cob rolled in toasted panko? That's interesting.

Dinner is either poached salmon and vegetables or pasta and vegetables.
I got a bunch of ice cream on sale - Ben & Jerry’s, Robbins... I couldn’t resist.

I caught the tail end of some cooking show. The panko didn't adhere very well...needs some tweaking but i like the concept.

Finally some veggies! Do the salmon because it is so good for you and then you can treat yourself to some of that yummy ice cream.

I had grilled salmon last night with grilled carrots. Anyway tonight’s supper was:
fresh pasta with sautéed heirlooms
penne & parm
leftover curry chicken with brown rice
raw veggie platter (organics - cucumber, red pepper, radish, carrot, celery)

I still have two Lotus Biscoff ice creams that should be finished before opening a new one but...
the Lotus ice creams are SOFT - surrounded by hard ice creams. It’s so weird.

Smoked some chicken thighs with a bit of cherry wood for dinner. Tasted lovely.

Love the idea. What made the panko stick at all? Butter or mayo? Outside of elote, I'm not a fan of mayo on corn, but I could maybe see it in this case.

i mixed softened butter wth mayo and a tiny bt of minced garlic . The corn was hot and a lot slid off which it always does. I would really press the toasted panko on with my hands next time. I had intended to grate some parm into the panko but was running late and lazy . I would for sure do that next time as it would have added some good umami flavor.
i think they used crushed cheetos as an option ...also those hot Takis.

As much as I love butter and condiments, I tend to just eat corn on the cob with zero upgrades once cooked. No idea why.

I use butter and just a touch of salt. Occasionally, I'll use butter flavored salt.

Butter and garlic salt is my go to, but I've tried a few variations.

Butter and sea salt is the minimum....why not give it a try? Surely you use salt and pepper at least. Expand your horizons!!
And I love full on mayo, butter, cheese elote style.
