Made a pot of chili. While my style of chili doesn't have much tomato sauce, it does have a bit -- but I discovered I was out. But I did have a can of red enchilada sauce. Was a happy surprise how well it turned out.

I diced the leftover eye of the round, potatoes and onions to create a hash that I sautéed on the stovetop last night. Just like my mother used to do with her leftover roast beef. Eating it took me back 60 years. Lots of ketchup.
I was drinking a homemade kombucha from a friend - flavored with diced apples and cinnamon sticks. Mrs BamaVol's opinion was too much cinnamon. Mine was not enough. After drinking, I took the diced apples and mixed with cottage cheese for dessert. I had the leftover hash this morning for breakfast. |

I was at the Beijing Duck Dinner Do in Chicago tonight at Sun Wah BBQ. We had pork ribs, Singapore beef noodles, duck noodles, duck fried rice and of course Peking Duck pancakes. Mmm.
