Have you ever gotten carryout tacos? They’re going to be nearly cold by the time one is home - no styrofoam allowed in my city. So I don’t know when I’ll get carryout and I’m not having a Carryout Burrito because that’s just one meat. I would want 2-3 tacos with lengua, carnitas, and cabeza (separate). I haven’t had cabeza taco in a very long time, like a year. Oh how I love to eat head tacos. Maybe I need to visit a Mexican grocery store - they should have head and tongue for sale.
how were the Romanian sausages tonight? |

Question.....what’s a head taco? Do I just order some head at my local taco shop? Will I garner strange looks?

We walked to our local pub for outside dinner. Salmon cakes for me, pepperoni pizza for the mister. One of the many reasons we love this place is that they have a jukebox we can control. We're currently in the midst of a nice run of 80s British stuff.

We ordered a pepperoni and mushroom pizza from Otto here in Portland. I also had the spring salad (leaf lettuce, shaved fennel, radish, bleu cheese, dijon mustard vinaigrette)
And some wine (a red Sancerre). |

Personally, I prefer language tacos.
But, Saturday will be a smoked boneless butt I found in the back of the freezer plus smoked wings finished in the air fryer to crisp up. The pichana can wait. Easter Sunday is still something I will cook to appeal to the masses... Meatloaf, but will use the Serious Eats method. https://www.seriouseats.com/recipes/...pt-recipe.html |

We liked but didn't love Kenji's meatloaf, but for the life of me I can't remember why.

I think he has a deal with Anova, because that's the sous vide stick I have and his recipes are featured. Every one I've tried has worked out fine, but I wish I would have done something slightly different -- usually a slightly different temperature. Last night, Thai basil chicken over rice. My wife's recipe, so all I know is that it's delicious. Tonight, leftover lasagna and salad. |

Honestly, I've tried several of his recipes, and "like but didn't love" describes them all.
