There used to be a restaurant at Santa Monica airport called The Spitfire Grill. It was there for 20+ years. It’s been taken over but now w/o an aviation theme.

Hangar Two (Tangled Roots Brewing) by Chicago Executive (old Palwaukee airport).

I live near the old Glenview Naval Air Station which was closed in 1995 and turned into mixed residential and commercial/retail. I've always thought it was a huge missed opportunity that none of the stores or restaurants reference the base in any way...names, memorabilia, etc. But maybe they tried and nothing was very compelling. I'm guessing most patrons don't even know its history as a premier military aviation center any more, and probably wonder why there's an airport control tower in the middle of a mall .
